healthy chocolate brownie recipe for natural fertility

Fertility Brownies (Rich, Indulgent & Hormone Supporting)

Ingredients:

150g (about 1 cup) dark chocolate (70% or higher), chopped
½ cup coconut oil (or butter, preferably grass-fed)
¾ cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
2 free-range eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup almond flour (or finely ground almonds)
2 tbsp raw cacao powder (or unsweetened cocoa)
1 tbsp maca powder
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp sea salt
½ cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line a small brownie tin (8×8 inch) with baking paper.
  2. In a heatproof bowl, gently melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together (over simmering water or in short bursts in the microwave). Stir until smooth.
  3. Whisk in the sugar, then beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, mix the almond flour, cacao powder, maca powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Stir through the walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into your prepared tin and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the edges are set but the centre still looks slightly soft (this gives a fudgy texture).
  9. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.

Fertility Benefits

Dark Chocolate (70%+) – rich in antioxidants to fight oxidative stress, which is linked to egg and sperm health.
Walnuts – packed with omega-3s that support hormone balance and reproductive health.
Maca Powder – a natural adaptogen traditionally used to support libido and hormonal balance.
Almond Flour – a gluten-free alternative full of vitamin E, which supports healthy cervical mucus and egg quality.

Tip: These indulgent fertility brownies taste amazing on their own, but you can also serve them with a dollop of Greek yogurt and fresh berries for an extra fertility-friendly boost. Remember to choose organic, high quality ingredients where possible.

Variations

Nut-free option: Replace the walnuts with pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds (still packed with fertility-friendly zinc and magnesium).
Extra Indulgent: Add a handful of dark chocolate chips or swirl in natural peanut butter before baking.
Fruity Twist: Mix in a handful of fresh raspberries or dried cranberries for antioxidants and natural sweetness.
Protein Boost: Add 2 tbsp of your favourite unflavoured protein powder or collagen powder.
Spiced Brownies: Add 1 tsp cinnamon or ½ tsp ginger for a warming, anti-inflammatory twist.
Dairy-Free: Stick with coconut oil instead of butter and check that your chocolate is dairy-free.
